Appointed in June 2017 by Governor Rick Scott and elected without opposition in 2018, Judge Christine A. Marlewski currently serves as a Circuit Judge for the Thirteenth Circuit in Hillsborough County, Florida in the Felony Criminal Division. She served from her appointment until January 2021 in the United Family Law Division.

Christine A. Marlewski has served as a Circuit Court Judge in Hillsborough County’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit since her appointment in 2017 by Governor Rick Scott. She was elected without opposition in 2018. During her time as a Circuit Court Judge, she has continued to mentor current and future lawyers including as an instructor at the Florida Bar Advanced Trial Academy and an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy for Stetson College of Law where she has taught since 2008. Judge Marlewski is a member of the Circuit Court Education Committee, Executive Council for the Florida Bar Trial Lawyer’s Section, the Florida Bar Standard Jury Instructions in Business Cases Committee, Goldburg-Cacciatore Inn of Court, and American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Judicial Independence and International Committees.

Prior to her judicial service, Judge Marlewski was an Equity Shareholder with GrayRobinson, P.A. As a civil and commercial trial lawyer, she became one of the youngest women at the time to earn her Florida Bar Board Certification in Civil Trial Law in 2010. Judge Marlewski was invited to become a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2013. She was named a Top 30 Under 30 as well as Top 40 Under 40 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Judge Marlewski grew up in Tampa, Florida where she graduated Valedictorian of Chamberlain High School. She graduated with Honors from the University of Florida and UF Levin College of Law where she was a member of the Florida Blue Key Leadership Honorary. She is an avid hiker and yoga instructor who teaches yoga to underprivileged and at-risk populations.
